When Zidane will get sacked, a big part of the fault will be him not stepping on his ego or whatever, and admitting James is a superstar and shouldn't be benched, especially when Benzema and Bale keep on having bad games, over and over again. Props to Sporting, I knew it will be a stiff game, especially with RM not playing at 100%, they probably deserved 1pt, but...
who is that filthy attacking mid for sporting? Number 17 I think? seemed to be bossing the game from what I could tell on mute.
**** result for Spurs but we'll be fine imo, we lost to anderlecht last year iirc and still won the group in europa. Props to Spurs fans for being loud as **** in wembley

you're probably thinking of 77, Gelson Martins, he's having a sick start to the season
kane definitely looking pokey and sort of glum but it gives me a sad to hear so much of spursworld say dude should be benched so he can mentally refresh. Lol at that. Ya he was really horrid vs everton and not much better vs pool and playing him at the 10 feels like some goofy fps...but he has to be out there no matter what, he's arrykane, you dance with the one that brung you
xg had tottenham 1.2 monaco 0.6, shrug, yes spurs are off to ho hum desultory start this year and have a couple awkward roster wrinkles to smooth out but imo the overall status is nowhere near mayday mayday. Hopefully Dier's hair will start a fight next week (lover's quarrel obv) and everybody can snap out of it
Just watched the game. Kind of nut low situation. Their first two shots are inch perfect finishes. We had a bad giveaway leading up to the first though. They just sat back and prayed after that.
Not really worried. Rather have a flukey bad result up front than later. Fun to be back in it after 6 years. At least it wasnt 4 down to INTER.
Anyone remember any games with tons of fouls? Maybe, some kind of record? My google skills are failing me trying to find somewhere where this information is right there in front me with no work needed to be done.
Juventus - Sevilla yesterday made me curious. That had 38 freekicks.
The first game that I thought of as a frontrunner maybe was the Brazil - Colombia WC quarterfinal. Turns out that there were 54 freekicks in that game!
Maybe some Atletico games have been up there (the games against Leverkusen hit the 30 mark) or some of the most heated El Clasicos with Mourinho coaching.
Bielsa-Bilbao games good candidates also. Then there is football in Brazil which has had periods with non-stop fouling from what I understand, but more well known games are more interesting.
there was one world cup game a while ago that got completely out of hand, netherlands vs someone (brazil? portugal?) and like 15 people got yellow cards. guessing there was a million fouls overall
