Their squad is just so much better than the rest of the league and if they are struggling can just cherry pick a few players in Jan to get them fine for the run in.

Rangers 2.0 don't have a team to compete yet imo and Aberdeen although their first 11 is good the rest is pants and won't have enough over the season.

So how "good" are Dundalk? League 1/League 2 level? FH (my Icelandic team) is playing them tonight. An Icelandic team comfortably beat a N-Irish team recently in EL qualifying, but I'm not sure how big a difference there is in Irish/N-Irish league standards.

League of Ireland teams have a bit more finance and they've had have had the upper hand most years in cross border competitions.
