Doubt there'll be a truck load of cash available at Milan.

Will try find the article about their new hedge fund owners with their 11% to collect every year.

yeah, iirc nothing makes a husky chuckle emerge from the throat of a madridista like a trophiless season after having to endure watching **** football brought to you by moaninho.

i guess it being exactly Atletico who killed the last hopes of your lot winning bugger all that season made it even more enjoyable, and losing at home was the cherry to top the cake.

Athletico probably won't maintain this. They will go the way of Valencia I imagine. They can't compete revenue wise at all. Good period for them.
While there's obviously the huge TV disparity in Spain I wonder whether them having a new stadium soon (supposedly next season but I hear it may not be ready and they'll stay at the Calderon for another year, who knows) might allow them to generate enough to at least stay a clear third and thus keep accumulating the CL money

That's sounds awfully lol arsenal though

I don't recall ever seeing this type of call. Kinda similar tho, a guy scored from his own pen's rebound off the post. Ref doesn't know the rule and gives the goal. They ended up playing the match again.

I saw one recently, Championship I think, referee gives an indirect free kick for the defending team for encroachment on a penalty.

Possibly but I doubt they can consistently stay ahead of Sevilla, Valencia etc and they will be closer to 4th than 2nd regardless I imagine. Unless Spain suddenly decided to share TV rights.

That was a Newcastle game I'm pretty sure, and somehow no one on the reffing team knew that it's a retake by the rules. Not sure what came of it tho, seems like the kind of ref screw-up that could be appealed.

They did (with the caveat that Barca and RM $amount can't go down in nominal terms)

Interesting. Wonder how long it will take for parity assuming that they still have the lion's share for now?
