That breakaway that DiMaria missed is unexcusable.

Disagree (but no big deal - not trying to start a ruck). For a Brazilian he's pretty good with dealing with confounded expectation.

cf: David Luiz, Ronaldinho

...

He (Neymar), Marcelo and Oscar were the only ones who stood up to the pressure of the WC2016.

edit: if you wanted to take a shot there you should have had a go at Marcelo "being responsible" for Germany's first goal. (Not true, but you could fake an argument there.)

Neymar is a big game player. Thats a fact.
He gets bored when things are too comfortable.

The dubious decision was Di Maria choosing the worst of three options there. Just pass it square and your team advances.

This is all complete mythological ahistorical nonsense. Barca were also helped out by the dictatorship; winning copas doesn't count for much if there's no opposition. In general Franco spent more money in Euskadi and Catalunya than in the rest of the country; for one he knew he had to keep these areas relatively trouble free, for another they were extremely right wing and had supported him in his rebellion, unlike, say, the city of Madrid, which fought him tooth and nail and he had to repopulate with flunkies.

Atletico began as the house team of Franco's Air Force. If there's a team that has a claim to be fascist, it's Atleti. Hell, they won the league when owned by Jesus Gil. But really all this mixing politics with football is just nonsense. I know plenty of Madrid club members who vote Podemos and plenty of Barca supportes who vote for right wing corrupt frauds like Artur Mas and his flunkies. Sure the Madrid ultras were right wing nazi types, but Florentino basically got rid of them (one of the two best things he's done).

Barca is just as corrupt, tax avoiding, cheating as is Madrid.

You're damn right the government bails them out. Football is the only thing Spain is good at right now.

Bayern 4.20 (blaze it)

Real Madrid 5

Fair enough. I think we need to see... Barcelona vs Bayern next.

I don't think MSN have ever come up against the type of quality of Morgan and Huth.

They won't know what's hit them (possibly literally).
