lol horse racing.. maximum security so much better than all of them, maybe impedes a jockey not on the podium, the 2nd place horse complains and gets the winnder DQ'd..

the best part is afaik the winning horse wasnt even the one that complained... so in other words if it wasnt for the other horse complaining, they would have never won

I thought they said the other jockey (#1 horse-War of Will) was the one that raised the question.

maybe i missed that part.. the announcers seemed to say they hadn't talked to the jockey that may have gotten impeded. so i dont know how he was the one that issued the challenge if they didnt talk to him.

That was the weird part. If the horse that some how didn't get tangled up because he slowed down was the one protesting I really wouldn't have an issue.

I know **** all about horse racing but while I was watching it live I thought that was a legitimate tactic to make the other horses take a wider turn. Then I thought it was going to **** him because going that wide let another horse in along the rail.

cbs sports article says country house was the one that objected to the other horses being impeded.

man I logged on to bet a long shot, any long shot, but ended up taking Tacitus across the board, DQ moved him up to 3rd so I won a little ... but pretty darn surprised they took Security down though seemingly a very fair call. I thought they'd let the late strongest run overrule the foul but nope.

What one of the jockey announcers said is best ... it was a no-brainer DQ had it been a nothing race. And, amazingly, they did the honest thing and called it straight. The horse bore out three lanes and interfered close to causing a spill. OUT. DONE. But no one thought they'd apply the same standard in the Derby when easier not to. I thought they'd go with there was plenty of distance left and clearly the best run was the winner. But then again one of the impeded horses gained late toward the wire. Good call.

Losing because 4-lane drift is bad. But that almost caused a nasty, potentially fatal pile up.

Like dood said on telecast, if this was a weekday claiming race instant DQ.
