horrible takes. What play is possibly dirtier than this? it takes the major NFL safety concept of the last 50 years (let's not have guys get paralyzed) and the preeminent safety campaign of the last ten (let's avoid concussions by not hitting guy's helmets), and sends a giant **** you to both. Adams was basically stood up and the guy comes flying in on a direct target for his head. for what it's worth, it would have been just as bad if he didn't lower his crown and blasted him with his shoulder.
I don't know the actual rule text but literally every person with the ability to contextualize agrees it's wildly egregious. Guys are wrapped up/stood up like 10 times a game, and I've literally never seen a guy charge the pile in that manner.
