I predicted before anyone else he would leave the game when he was more motivated to be with his kids than competitive golf, which seems to be taking hold.

He's already conceded that his career is basically done. Motivation is gone.

I mean if you think that "his kids" is a reasonable primary explanation for how we got here, over and above injuries, I don't know what else to say. Whatever helps you feel super right I guess.

If your argument is something super niche like the final nail will be that he will lose motivation AFTER injuries and failure due to his kids and not because of the injuries and failure and work requires, well, who cares and we'll never really know and it has zero to do with how we got here.

I imagine if he did not have kids then he would continue to have surgeries and continue to play. At least that is what he's said. (between the lines)

Now, if you are saying he would not win 18 majors because of his health, that's fine. But him walking away from the game is more than that.

Steve took Adam to another level and was a major part of him winning the masters

Adam even begged him to comeback after Steve semiretired

13 of Tigers 14 majors were with Stevie on the bag

Woods has won no majors since Stevie left

He is just the GOAT caddy and a massively underated factor in Woods' success

I believe I was the first to argue that he sucks at playing golf rather than attribution it to a bunch of speculative excuses. Looks good right about now. Tiger has been terrible at golf for a while now which is problematic when trying to be a professional golfer.
