On every car the gas pedal is on the right and the brake pedal is on the left. Also the gas pedal is the one you have the foot on to maintain a high speed, it's not like he went in his car and "Oh my car is broken it doesn't move, OH WAIT I was on the brake pedal I mixed it up"

You can't mix it up unless you're drunk

yep

No steering or brake input makes it pretty obvious.

“Capt. Powers said there was no indication of braking. It's believed Woods hit accelerator instead of brake. No citation was issued due to no witnesses at the scene.”

I was cited once for my left front going across the center line on a mountain road curve with no oncoming traffic.

I was cited once for the fenders on my dune buggy being a half inch less wide than my rear tires.

Also, find it hard to believe you could fall asleep at the wheel AND have your foot continue to apply pressure to the gas pedal - pretty sure human body doesn't work that way.

Pretty sure people do move in their sleep. Not saying he was asleep bc all we know was he was speeding

If I fall asleep with my foot on the pedal then start dreaming about hole in ones my leg could easily move

I find it hard to believe he was doing 85 on that road. The camera that caught him a few minutes before that showed him at a reasonable speed.

Just my opinion...

I might be mis-remembering, but in his police video in Florida didn't he think he was in California?

The black box data didn't say that he was still pushing down on the gas pedal: It said immediately prior to the accident, he never hit his brakes, and wasn't slowing down.

The "never hit the brakes" part is entirely consistent with a driver asleep at the wheel. And the "not slowing down" part seems consistent with a vehicle traveling downhill.

"Due to the steepness of the roadway, a runaway truck escape lane is available just beyond where Woods crashed."

that makes more sense - I was assuming the terrain between where he left the road and hit the tree (hilly, grassy, barriers) would have slowed the car down a lot more if he was basically coasting.

Sux to watch the Masters without Tont in contention

Sad to think we will never see his genius competing in another PGA tournament

Re: Tiger Woods Career From Here (LOL EL RATA YOU FRAUD)

You think he's a full-blown junkie?? I favor the combination of speeding and not paying attention and sudden curve ... and he was off the road before he was even looking at it. One second of freeze after that and it's all over. The gas instead of break thing sounded like covering up for him. It happens especially in the aged when parking, but in an emergency when everything in your brain is yelling "brake" and you are in your right mind, its 99.9999 to hit the right pedal.
