The crazy thing is he birdied 5 of the next 6 after that 10 on 12. I feel like 99.99% of golfers would've just mailed it in at that point.

I was amazed Tiger finished the round. He looked to be moving very gingerly and was being super careful how he picked the ball out of the cup. He looked incredibly uncomfortable to me. I have no idea how he could look like a 90 year old arthritic man before and after each shot but somehow still play decent golf aside from #12.

Great point! At the pace he was on (-5 thru last 6 holes), if there were 2 more rounds, he would have been -15 each round and gotten to -31. DJ was at -20, and only averaging a paltry -5 per round which would have put him at -30 after 6 rounds, leaving Tiger as the winner by a stroke!

P.S. This is not a serious post.

If he was able to tolerate leg surgery, then I'm guessing that his injuries are not immediately life threatening. But it also must be more severe than torn ligaments in his knee or something. I wonder if he has a badly broken leg that couldn't be set without surgery.

Either way, it's hard to imagine that he will ever play competitive golf at a high level again.
