Can he at least win something before we claim he is BIG TIME BACK? I will admit he is playing better than I thought possible with his mental state, age and health. That being said he will be 43 by the time the next major comes around and based on his history it is pretty unlikely he will ever have another year this healthy again.

I have been throughoughly entertained by his comeback this year and give him props for getting to the point he is at. Golf is better with Tiger in it and right now golf is better than ever. As has been mentioned he is a victim of his own success as field strength now is insane. Compare the top 25 now to the top 25 in 2003 and there is an unbelievable difference. As someone else said if the PGA was in 2003 he probably wins by 4-5 strokes.

I will anoint back-ness after a win, not before. Top 10s is not back. Gotta get the W somewhere. To me it doesn't really matter where.

I still think it's pretty unlikely he wins a major. Mostly because of his health and the fact that his mental game isn't what it once was. So if I am backpeddling it is only slightly. My point all along is that he isn't healthy, he is getting older and he is a shell of himself mentally after the fire hydrant/dui/other stuff. I still think all that although he did play better this year than he has in 5 years and better than I thought he would. I made a ton of money betting against him winning one the last two years and already have a Tiger no major bet for 2019. I'd probably also bet against him playing 15 majors in the next 5 years as well.

This season the stars aligned for him. He had no health problems and he had 2 of his best 4 or so tournaments in the majors. He still drives the ball poorly and there are still some legitimate concerns about him spitting the bit once he gets into the lead or in there with a shot on Sunday. He did that both of the majors and in the lesser tournaments he had a chance in as well.

Ya this. In the grand scheme of things Tiger seems like an alright guy. Having some affairs and a likely opiate problem due to health is far from the worst thing you can do in life. Arguably the only people Tiger ****ed over in all that was Elin (maybe not even her as she got tons and tons of $$$$) and himself.

Elin is sitting on a beach in Sweden with a 9 figure bank account. Unless it comes out that he beat her or something I'll probably always be a tiger fan.
