I guess I agree with this. I appreciate his golf skill, but I don't root for him.
I did root for Bonds though, because I thought he was unfairly villified in ways that McGwire/Sosa/Clemens and so many others who had been roiding were not.
Even Giambi keeps getting contracts, and Bonds couldn't get one for 2008, when he was still wouldn't been one of the better hitters in the league based on his 200/6 and 2007 production.
I wanted him to set the HR record to piss off all the people that didn't want him to get it. And I like that Arod has slowed down considerably and is starting to look like he might not make it. I'd much rather Pujols breaks it.
