Haha he is playing a course basically everyone destroys with 5 par 5s, no rough or trees where you can hit every shot any shape you want and he shot a 68. Shot a 65 last year in R2 before 2 more back surgeries but I am sure this time is different guys!

Made a lot of money last year taking U1.5 wins in events that get FedEx Cup pts or the playoffs (see golf Tiger Woods thread right around this time last year to see me post about it). Would gladly make the same bet this year.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. Golf is more fun with Tiger. I want it to happen as much as the next guy in this thread contrary to what you guys think. I just think a 42 year old who hasn't finished a season in a few years let alone been good with multiple back surgeries is very unlikely to ever be anything but a shadow of what he was. Hope I'm wrong.

All that logic and analysis doesn't apply to golf. When a cat like David Duval, a former #1 rated player in the game, can succumb to the yips or whatever variety of mental difficulty, it makes no sense. Maybe the once most mentally strong can regain that zone of consciousness.

Numerous pro players have had inexplicable episodes with their game. If ever there was a player capable of symptom reversal, it's El Tigre!

He has been short with a ton of iron shots even on the days where he wasn't struggling to break 80. He wants his body to be right but its clear it just isn't.

He has had to grind hard just to shoot the 41-42 he is going to end up with here on the front nine.
