I mean people are speculating that damage to his car means he did some property damage when it's really easy to **** up your car on curbs and medians.

Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI. It got slotted behind TWO baseball stories on PTI today.

To answer your question with a question, why SHOULD people like Tiger Woods?

Is him being one of the greatest golfers of all time enough reason to like him as a person? Seems like that's the primary reason people do, or did.

I don't dislike Tiger Woods at all really. I think most of the hate he gets is from people who had warped, unreasonable perceptions of him, thanks to the media. The media has always tried to build star athletes up into noble, heroic figures and it's almost always manufactured. Now that we live in the information age the truth gets out a lot easier.

Outside of the whole golf thing, Woods seems like just a regular ole human being. Not particularly an awesome person but also not a bad person either.

He just likes to drive....at night, with a newly fused back, on memorial day weekend, sight-seeing and not going anywhere or doing anything at past midnight.

This is the most curious thing of the entire story.

Maybe there's a statement coming...like "I took my pain meds (like I normally do) around 11pm at my house before I go to sleep, but I unfortunately took the wrong dosage and combination, and I do not remember what happened after that." At least, then you just have to get past the fact that it happened past midnight on one of the biggest drinking weekends as a coincidence.

Not really buying it tho.

I'm gonna guess Jupiter floozy and his back acted up on him, started popping pain pills, and was screwed for the drive home. That's all I got.

All part of reason he publicly pled guilty in literally hours.

Tapes didn't seem like any great revelation to me, at least the clips I saw. Looked like a guy messed up on pills like he basically said he was.

I'm not a great fan of the guy with regards to the way he has led his life outside of golf, but after seeing the video I do actually feel for him this time.

He shanked every single test.

Don't know how someone could be found not guilty with:

-Car running
-Blinker on
-In road
-Flat tires
-Car damage
-Driver asleep
-Failed verbal and physical tests

He would have hurt himself or others for certain if he was driving. He was falling asleep while being arrested. Most people's hearts would be racing with fear.

and I don't even care about him stumbling when he was standing on one foot, his posture and body language in the beginning talking to the cop was tooootally "omg I'm ****ed".

Defense is obviously going to be something like sleepwalking. He took his pain pills and Ambien before bed and had no recollection of leaving his house and taking the car out.

Regardless of whether this gets Tiger off, it probably gets him into some diversionary program and lets him take the position in the court of public opinion that he can claim he never intentionally drove under the influence.

It's pretty easy to damage your wheels and blow your tires out on a curb if you are going at a decent speed.

I also just looked at the pictures and didn't see any damage to the tail light.

Most likely hit curbs with the damage that he did based on the crappy pictures. Bumper is slightly out of place, but nothing major. Probably hit some big curb, but possibly hit something like a light in a parking lot.

Are you arguing with someone I'm not aware of? Pretty clear he's ****ed up and shouldn't be driving, and will most likely have to plead or be found guilty of something where he'll be punished. When I heard his excuse of prescription meds and that he failed field sobriety tests, the video that they released was exactly what I expected.

Do you have any reason to believe this isn't the case? I mean it's 3am in morning he's wearing casual running shorts and a shirt. It's not like he's on his way home from a party or anywhere public. He also has a golf cart and tons of property if driving around high is his thing. I'd like to know what good reason he would have for being out at 3am driving around in active wear high on pain meds would be.

I remember his first tournament back from his first back surgery and tiger was throwing up while playing, I wonder if it was a stomach flu or something to do with medication he is/was taking.
