why would Spieth fold due to pressure when he had already won The Masters instead of the year before when he had never won a major? Wouldn't the pressure be bigger the first time?
The main thing is that a choke doesn't have to be caused by pressure at all. All poor performances under pressure when you are favored to win are technically chokes even when the pressure is not the cause. There is really no way to tell if someone plays poorly BECAUSE of the pressure or if they would have played poorly even without it.
