That was before the defense started getting 2 turnovers a game since week 10 I think.

Vic Beasley tied for the league lead with 6 forced fumbles, Deion Jones with 2 pick-6's and leads all LB's in passes defensed, the defense is playing better than when we lost to the Bucs (week 1) and Chargers.

We also avenged the Bucs game in their house and blew the doors off them by the 2nd quarter

@jeffphowe

The Falcons were 4-4 this season against top-15 scoring defenses and 9-1 against defenses that were ranked Nos. 16-32.

Non-NFL but Alabama fan (from Julio's hometown) here with a question;

You know how we used to say, "The only person who could hold Jordan under 30 points per game was Dean Smith."?

Is there any equivalent like, "Props to Nick Saban for turning Julio into the best run-blocking wide receiver in Alabama history." or something? Thanks.

For a team that is 13-5 so far this year, I don't exactly find that stat remotely surprising.

Not looking promising for TEAM GOOD and the Falcons. I mean EVIL has been defeated so many times in a row (Patriots last year, North Carolina, Warriors, Indians, Hillary, Alabama) that it's bound to change soon

Pats haters are so salty wow. Plus if you lived in New England you'd know nobody drinks sam adams here and that it's brewed in NY.

I'm going to have to see this to believe it.

With that said, I'm a Falcons homer, but each of the final three games has been a gift to me. I feel like Atlanta this year can beat any team out there on any given day, but New England was the team I didn't want to have to match up against. We'll see if experience can trump pure, youthful exuberance. Young lion vs. old lion. Kinda.

I expect it to be a great game. That's as far as I'll go. Managing expectations.

Thanks for the pity. And I mean that.

Fortunately, Falcons in the SB this year, and Bulldogs recruiting is through the roof, so things are looking good in the peach state for a change. Takes me back to the old days when Sid Bream took us to a World Series.

OutKast is better than Aerosmith. Pork barbecue is better than clam chowder. Sweetwater is better than Sam Adams. “Atlanta,” the TV show, is better than every Wahlberg’s career output combined.

Does Boston have a place that compares to The Cheetah?

I like how they did the 2-on-1 "handicap match" to make that one a fair fight.

(I lived in New England AND the South during my fattie days, and spent plenty of time inside of all three of those places. Loved them all, BUT...when I go to CFA or WH now, I think, "This is crap!"; I never say that about DD.)

Oh yeah, the game! This is easy. Watch the film of AFCCG. Malcolm Butler shadows Antonio Brown, with help over the top from the safety (usually McCourtey, sometimes Harmon). Brown finishes with 7 catches, 77 yds.

Now change "Antonio Brown" to "Julio Jones". Let's see how Matty does when his first read is rarely an option.

I'm taking every Julio prop under, and ATL's point total under. If Pats get to 27, they win; if they get to 30 (and why wouldn't they?), they cover.

BTW, one thing no one talks about when wondering if the NE defense is any good: the help they get from the offense and the special teams. NE wins the field position game week after week after week. Patriots punter Ryan Allen almost never puts one in the end zone, he is consistently pinning teams inside the 5-7 yard line.

Having great players is gravy, but it's stuff like that (avoiding mistakes like punting into the end zone, committing penalties, committing turnovers) that wins this team most of its games.

When isn't your recruiting thru the roof? Most underachieving team in any sport
