Re: SUPER BOWL LI: GOOD (+3) vs. EVIL (o/u 58)

Yeah, just finished reading this thread. Tremendous work.

I don't know, man. 2001 was great. But I might prefer this one.

Team sports are silly that way. I mean last year nobody would deny that Peyton's legacy got racheted up a notch, even though you could have plugged in Tim Tebow in that SB and gotten the same result.

GAGA was so good. Flawless execution including jumping into the abyss.

Yea, this is pretty incredible. Play-calling, the demise in both situations.

Cute how you can set that up to be your narrative when the GOAT just set a Superbowl passing record.

Take away Manningham and Tyree and Brady's narrative could be 7-0.

Why? He didn't do anything from his end to lose the game. Same critique I've had for two years. Shanny is his own worst enemy with play calling. He gets cute when the situation doesn't call for it. Too damn smart for your own good and it cost us dearly.

If Gronk wasn't so injury prone probably have 8 rings.

Never Forget: THE UNCOMFORTABLE REALITY THAT IS A FADING TOM BRADY - Thu, 10/02/2014

Quote:
Think about this: A year ago today, if you called the other 31 teams and offered Brady straight up for their starting quarterback for the rest of the season, how many would've said no? Denver (and has the Manning-Brady divide ever been larger? Brady is still ahead on the all-time scale but it it isn't even a competition right now), Green Bay, maybe New Orleans. Now? San Diego, Seattle and Indianapolis are all no-brainers, right? So that's about where Brady is when you rank 'em -- he's dropped from the top three to that 8-12 group. There's no shame in that, of course, but that's where he is, and that's solely based on history, not his current form.

Tom Brady - #8-12 QB. Tossup over Alex Smith.

Brady was injured during that time period if I recall which was why he was sucking, not because of his age.

I know nothing about football. What's with the loads of people aside of the pitch? Do they sell spots there for gazillion dollars also?

From what I remember, a big part of it was Gronk wasn't even close to 100% his first 4 games back from ACL.
