There's a lot worse than that. A big comeback but in 17 minutes a lot can happen. If you take one where they need, say, three touchdowns in 26 seconds, crap like that, or score a TD with one second left, kick off, and the team that kicked scores another TD to cover ... those are the freaky ones. This was brutal, I had ATL money line and it was right side imo, but don't consider it in the top 20 beats I've ever taken.

BB is probably the first SB winning coach, let alone participant, to not wear a team logo on the sideline. He wore it at all his PCs. BB didn't wear a hoodie, but his windbreaker definitely had a patriots logo ripped off it, you could see the stitches. He probably grabbed it out of a bin, but the story behind it would be interesting.

I had my post all thought up about Pats get a bye to division crown every year via most dysfunctional division in history of sports, get all those home playoff games, cheat, get riggage, are overrated ... all that and whatever else I could come up with ... but the game turned me toward New England. Used to dislike their smug arrogance during early three-out-of-four run, but they don't come across like that so much anymore. They got better on that with some humility hammered into them with massive disappointments.

Brady won me over tonight. I thought his finest moment, often overlooked, was his coming back from 10 down in 4th Q to take lead on that sick Seattle D. Two touchdowns against an all-time type D when we haven't been scoring all night: no problem. (Which means Brady has the two greatest comebacks in Super Bowl history, as 10 was previous record.) Tonight 31-0 run after total fail. It's just too good. And with any receivers plugged in it works. And I didn't think the coaching/play calling was so good.

The main thing I take away from this game is the same one I take from every OT game. Both offenses deserve to touch the ball once, period. Totally unfair Atlanta loses it all cause of a coinflip (not that they wouldn't have anyway the way it was going...).

But they can't win a superbowl. They'll never win a Superbowl. I don't see why they don't transfer cities this off season. Assume a new identity. When people ask them if they're the Falcons, say, "The who?"

It's the system. Most of Brady's throws are thrown under ten yards from the line of scrimmage. He very often just picks teams apart underneath with the short passing game/run game. If they have their usual two big TEs out there they are matchup hell for opposing defenses. Gronk is able to stretch the field and the Patriots have had some deep threats in the past, Moss obviously the best one, but overall they've mostly relied on their short game offense to win their games. It's very efficient. Just look at Brady's completion percentages and TD/int ratio in recent years. Sure some of that is on him being a great QB but alot of that also has to do with the system that he's in.

Unreal loss, I am still tilted.. mismanaged timeouts, ryan not throwing it away when they were in fg range and getting sacked, then they don't even take the ball at the 25 receiving the final punt

the refs even call pass interference in ot when they don't have to knowing it will guarantee a patriot win

I've never been less happy to win a sports bet, I can say that much.

I honestly think it's equivalent to blowing a 3-0 lead. The previous SB record comeback was 10 points and they blew it out of the water. Would be hard to stage a larger comeback.

man just waking up from this little sunday bender. unbelievably brutal. i thought the chefs losing to the colts a few years ago after being up by a bunch was bad. i can't even imagine how falcons fans are feeling. RIP
