Man, after ELI ****ING MANNING won SB MVP vs the Pats (2x), how the **** are Pats fans so confident they will win? Like I don't get it. Did you completely block out those 2 Super Bowls or something?

16-0 Pats had flaws that Giants exposed. The offense was built around Moss and Giants DL was just soo good that they took the Moss route's out of the game.

In 2011, Pats D was legit aids. Edelman was playing CB covering Boldin in the AFCCG.

As far as Eli winning 2 MVP's. Even Giant fans will argue he didnt deserve either.

Why do you guys like over so much?

D Lew hasn't really been a big part of the Pats passing game since returning.

If they run more no-huddle then he is the preferred back in that set and they have been doing that more the last 2 weeks. But Brady had 32 completions last week and he still only had 2 catches.

There is the possibility that his snap count goes down and Blount's goes up as well.

Somebody at ESPN or the Ringer wrote this week that Falcons struggle to cover RBs...and Pats fans recall Shane Vareen catching about 100 balls against Dan Quinn's D in their most recent SB.

They were writing off of memory because in previous years we couldn't cover any RBs out of the backfield but the improved speed of this defense has helped with that. David Johnson gashed us like he did everyone else in the passing game. Outside of that Fozzie and Sproles had decent volume games against us receiving with everyone else basically being held in check.

Still think Lewis is a potential matchup nightmare but a lot of takes by some of these writers are based around former Falcons teams and simply lazy writing.

Falcons are 26th in DVOA against RBS. They're top 11 against 1st WRs, 2nd WRs, & TE. They're 29th against "other" WR.

So yeah, it wouldn't be surprising if the Pats tried to work the backs & slot receivers.

It would be so great for the NFL if ATL came out and rolled like 38-20 and change the whole feel of the NFL. The most likely is a close Patriot win, which will be historic, but not really exciting.

That would feel like a flip of the script, especially with how close so many NE SB games have been.

I know the line was a pick em and everything but when Seattle crushed Manning and that record setting Denver offense I felt like that was changing things up. Especially since it is the only SB that wasn't competitive of the last 15 years.
