This may be the article that Stern actually does take personally and doesn't come on the podcast again

He also talked about NO acquiring Min's pick from LAC in a trade and that might allow them to get the #1 pick and draft Anthony Davis of KY. His follow up was "Davis might not be Chris Paul but he's def the next great PG"

Russillo was like "Uh buddy, he's not a PG - He's a big man"

Buch - "No, who am I thinking of?"

Russillo - "I have no idea"

Buch - "I want to start the podcast over plz"

Russillo - "No"

Well I knew BS' name and face, so I did know who he was. But didn't know much, if anything about him or what he thought about nba/nfl etc. the way I do now.

Again, the more I read his stuff, the more I like him.

it's the best nba podcast, pretty frequent but not too long. usually it's a recap and ryen talks about whatever relevant points come up. perfect for commuters

McManus' UIGEA article not bad; seems like the sort of thing that would be good for explaining its ridiculousness to a wider audience.

Simmons reference today:

Quote:
Remember when Mortimer and Randolph Duke made a $1 bet about Winthorpe resorting to crime in Trading Places?
What percentage of his audience does he really think get that reference, even if they saw the move sometime in the 80s? Its a lock more of his audience weren't alive when the movie came out (1983) then that get that reference right?

Nah- I suspect a huge portion of Simmon's readership is right in the wheelhouse for that joke. Even if they weren't really old enough in 1983, the movie has some staying power. (and I bet in general ESPN's demo trends older than you think).

More importantly, was that his 1000th career "Trading Places" reference?

I wasn't alive when that movie was made and I got it.
