Dan Lebatard and every ESPN personality who has/had their own show (with the exception of SVP) is awful

I do not understand how "Greeny" keeps getting these gigs. He's just so bland.

And I have two friends that absolutely love Lebatard. I don't get it. He's awful.

Don't know about your friends, but ftmp, it's not LeBatard himself.

It's like Seinfeld being the straight man but really what drew everyone in was everyone else on the show.

Logged on to ESPN.com this morning and was surprised and annoyed that Barnwell's NFC Picture column was behind the + paywall. I've noticed this a couple times that a few of his articles that have always been available free were paywalled, and did a little googling: https://www.insidehook.com/daily_bri...t-espn-paywall

Seems like anything that isn't pure news (game recap, injury or acquisition news) is getting paywalled going forward. Sad! I really like Barnwell's writing, but I only make time to read it every other week and not enough to get me to shell out for a 12th entertainment subscription.

Barnwell, Berry, Lowe and anything else worthwhile got paywalled like a month ago. Site is useless for anything other than checking scores now. The only long articles they put out are player puff pieces that are basically written by their PR teams.

Lebatard going it alone seems to have been the best move, his podcast is already number 1 on the Apple charts under sports. Im guessing a lot of his fans who listened on ESPN Radio have now subscríbed to the podcast

Dan Le Batard and John Skipper are getting the band back together. The two former ESPNers will launch a content company in the next couple of weeks that, at least initially, will focus on sports.

[...]

Skipper’s first order of business: sell Le Batard’s show to a media company, like SiriusXM or iHeartRadio. Then the duo will look to hire reporters and editors that initially will focus on sports.

You get paid a lot bc you're someone's property???

Mina and many women in sports are awesome. Doris, Sarah Spain is alright, etc.

But Jackie M and Ramona are the worst insiders this side of Mempis.

Perfect YouTube vid placement!

and Bill Simmons is probably reading this very thread! He's historically stolen ideas/content from the NBA Thread. So eat **** Bill Simmons!
