It was red sox yankees and the girl was in love with Aaron Judge which is really nice for all the red sox fans watching.

I think Mendoza is great. She might be a little green and struggle sometimes (who wouldn't be early on in an announcing career?) but the type of stuff she talks about and her POV is great imo. Like close to the perfect combo of casual fan & stathead.

I don't have an issue with Mendoza herself. I think she has a very strong voice for broadcasting. I think you need 2 people who played the game and one person to keep the conversation going. They give her too many fluff pieces to do IMO. I think she would be great if she got to be sandwiched between Arod and Rose, and not two of the most boring voices on television.

So Craig Carton got arrested this morning on federal charges due to scamming $2 million dollars in some type of ticket scheme.

yeah, he is in deep ****,, all the alphabets involved in this.. played poker with him a couple times, and while a little arrogant, and did not clearly know how to play cards and his take on sports betting was off,, he was entertaining and listened to his show from time to time.. gonna be a crazy downfall for him, and his tribeca lifestyle is basically over.. i feel bad a little for the guy, but kinda of expected this.

Jessica Mendoza as an analyst is a one-trick pony and it is plenty annoying: her go to move is to just describe the physical process of an action/play. Every time there's a HR, they'll show the swing in slow motion and have Mendoza go on and on "you can see on this swing that he maintains great balance throughout, and he was able to rotate the hips, which provides most of the power, and get his hands extended through the zone, and keeps his head on the ball..." There is nothing insightful about any of it and since it's so generic it is equally applicable to any other swing or play of the type.

Beyond her armchair kinesiology I reckon she's as dully non value-added as most broadcasters, and not the worst as long as Hawk is still out there doing his thing.

Thoughts on Howard Beck whenever he shows up on a Lowe Post?

I find him to be such a huge dropoff from Lowe. He just parrots talking points about whatever topic comes up and adds nothing. Or tries making a point but doesn't seem to really know what he's talking about.

I can't feel one bit sorry, if what is reported is true, for a guy running a ponzi scheme stealing over 5.5 million dollars which he used to pay off million dollar gambling debts in AC.

His kids yeah I feel sorry for them...Carton no, if he really did legit steal all that money then he can forever and a day go **** himself....and Francesa must still be laughing his ass off.

I was surprised to see Craig Carton's salary was only $250K. Maybe that's strictly for the radio and not for TV.

250k is probably his base,, YES pays him, he does plenty of other ads, and his connections by being on the Fan allowed him to make even more than that outside the booth.. too bad he is a bad gambler and blew that.

he did have a nice run though.

So they put Beth Mowins in the booth and pair her up with Rex Ryan. What a terrible decision by ESPN. She is genuinely really great to listen to, but she gets overshadowed by how bad Rex was.

I think there were technical problems with the audio. It sounded like Beth was 3 feet from her mic. I was surprised they never fixed whatever the problem was.
