Did fox sports hire any more fired espn people yet?

And sad to hear about Clayton, I really liked that guy even though his face is melting

Speaking as a white whose parents forced Jimmy Buffett down my throat as a small child, if any of you also fall into that category the LMAO Ball episode of the mickstape podcast from 6:30-19:00 is absolutely must listen

Just turned on SportsCenter for a minute.

They were doing a 1 year anniversary death tribute to a fallen athlete.

Who died on June 6th 2016 you ask?

Was it Muhammad Ali? Craig Sager? Rashan Salaam?

Nope. They ran a one-year tribute to Kimbo ****ing Slice.

ESPN Exec: "People seemed to like that off-beat, in-depth stuff we had on Grantland. We should do something like that again."

Reporter: "I met Kimbo Slice's mom once. I bet I could make some 10,000 word morass that would appeal to 100 people and increase our credibility at least somewhat."

ESPN Exec: "Call her up. You get 1,500 words. And $100. Go."

But I don't want to read any words on that. Is that an option too?

They also aired Jalen Rose's failed pilot tonight for some reason

Every time Bill asks Tate to confirm his ridiculous takes and every time Tate complies.

Bill: "What do you think Tate, don't you think it makes sense for Philly to trade for the 1st pick and give up the 3rd pick, Saric, Embiid, the Lakers pick, Covington and maybe next year's first?" Tate: "Yeah, I can see that working for both teams."

Talk about weird. I brought up his obsession with Tate months ago on here and got a little creamed for it. Now I've read multiple people talk on here about how weird it is.

Simmons loves Tate more than he loved Rembert if that's possible.

Yes. No. It's exactly what you would think a puff piece disguised as a deep dive would be like.

When I lived in Seattle one of my roommates for some reason had a fascination with John Clayton and how ugly and miserable he thought he looked. Then I found out I worked right next to a building he was going in and out of all the time (I guess to do radio?) and it was like a chore of mine to report to my roommate whenever I saw him. When I'd leave work and walk to my car I'd often see him getting picked up by a drab woman in a ****ty car looking like dogs look when they go to the vet. I knew all of this wasn't nice: me dutifully reporting my sightings, my roommate's endless glee in Clayton's mundane life and apparent misery, but it kept up for a while. I do know he didn't have a ponytail.

Odd thing, but I'm really thankful that LeBatard had Adam West on a couple of weeks ago; I just became aware of his passing.

It was all spurred on by Jeff Garland recently being on and confessing that his only impression is that of Adam West. Of course Levitz had them on together ASAP.

Great stuff. I was always puzzled by Clayton's having the intellect of a jock, and the appearance and presentation of, um, something else.

The less Chris Ryan the better. I've grown to find him really irritating. Andy Greenwald can be a pretentious douche too

I'm gonna check out the Will Ferrell pod later. How did he shoehorn Boston into that? Bc will grew up in southern California, thus was a Lakers fan, thus 15 minutes of Celtics chatter? Ask about Jimmy Fallon's "no you ahr" red Sox fan sketch on snl? Pretend he cares about the Bruins? Talk about the Patriots completely unprovoked? Possibly Brady hosting SNL?

Was that before or after the 10 minutes babbling about Tate or his crazy son?

Y'see I thought you meant Bill Burr for a second.

ESPN gotta stop it with the Ball brothers. They're boring.
