Will the ISP's continue to just sit back and take this? Will they lose 12M subscribers the next 5 years just like they did the last 5?

I could see them beginning to crack down on piracy, maybe monitor internet use more, ban popular illegal streaming sites.

Also could see them begin to offer smaller, more custom plans. It isn't ideal for them but it beats just losing a few million people a year.

I'd imagine the custom plans will become more popular. I don't have one myself, but a friend was saying the Playstation "TV" service was alright.

Nah Thorpe is good. Hes self-important, but he has good insight and his complete lack of caution when it comes to torching players and coaches is a breathe of fresh air.

Just watching Sportscenter now and I feel like I can already see the results of these layoffs. All the "correspondents" they keep cutting to standing next to logos of various NFL teams (presumably at outside "Team Headquarters") look like rando bloggers I've never heard of and the footage looks like it was shot on an iPhone.

Yeah I figure someone like NBCSN will pick it up, I think they're still airing "Poker Night in America"

Its pretty much a lock not to be renewed. Ratings have been waning for years, there are so few advertisers now that even as cheap as it is to produce... Not worth it anymore. Will be interesting to see if someone like Twitch/Amazon decides to make a bid.

Yeah I would think so. I do wonder if illegal streaming crackdown happens.

Streams just increasingly better quality and easier to fnd.

Awesome. Many more segments of "Hey Matthew, who should I start? Julio Jones or Kenny Britt?"

Would be interested to see someone like NBCSN pick up the WSOP and do more live coverage in the future. I loved the years when they did actual live coverage on ESPN and would like to see it come back.

I actually enjoy Berry's writing. Clearly a guy who enjoys his job, doesn't have a stick up his ass and understands he's one of the luckiest dudes on the planet.

Agreed, I normally bench guys he hypes because they always fail miserably. Also never draft any of his early round recs like Montee Ball and Corderelle Patterson. I drafted Patterson 2 years ago based on his hype, learned my lesson and my anti-Berry system since has paid huge dividends. A system that spits out losers is just as useful as one that spits out winners.

With that said he seems like a decent guy.

i don't do fantasy but i do know who berry is, and i've always thought he intentionally gives out misleading information to the masses for his own personal benefit.
