I listened to quite a bit of Mays before July and have listened to about 3 Barnwell shows. I think I like the Barnwell show more (except when he does Bachelorette things) but I haven't found a nice way to listen to his podcast on android. I'm not a fan of the ESPN app.

Anyone wanna take a shot at explaining jay glazers appeal to me?

No.

I did want to express disappointment in the cousin Sal pod moving to Thursdays. I get it, but the whole fun of that pod isn't in them guessing the lines, it's in them reviewing the weekend's games. Thursday will be too late for that.

That's a good point. Was disappointed when they announced they were moving to Thursday but didn't really think about why - this is exactly it.

Sal talking about using his "hard earned capital" to bet on something. I assume he's just referring to his job but it could easily be assumed he's claiming he's a winning sports better.

If Simmons was asked whether he's a winner lifetime do you think he lies and says yes or does he own up to it just being a fun hobby? My bet is he tries to claim he's a winner.

Absolutely - especially when the Patriots or Cowboys have a crushing loss.

Indeed, the guessing the line bit was not as fun as the discussion about previous games.

Simmons claiming he's about break-even while being a huge loser seems like a lock.

Sal pod definitely sad for the reasons kc mentioned. I loved Sal's comments especially if Dallas or the Pats took a particularly horrendous beating. Doing it on Thurs takes the immediate reactions and sting off, not to mention it's too late for recaps anyway.

Bill said he doesn't have time to do it before Thursday due to his tv schedule. It is what it is.

Also, cousin sal never even tries to argue he is anything but a losing sports Bettor. I could see Bill claiming break even or small winner.

When I first read Bill claiming he is break-even and not a huge loser, I thought that was what he was saying about Ringer. Gotta think it is in the red.

Simmons tweets out links to Ringer content wayy more than he did for Grantland content from what I recall.

Trent Dilfer is a awful human being and/or possibly legit brain dead

Then, in a bizarre twist, Dilfer invoked the time when he was a backup on the Seattle Seahawks and kept his mouth shut about child slavery, because he didn’t want to derail the team.

It’s a good thing he stayed quiet so Seattle could achieve its 9-7 record in peace.

Trent Dilfer did, in fact, win a Super Bowl as a starting quarterback in the NFL."

Arturo: "You know who else won a Super Bowl as a starting quarterback?

Flacco.

That begs the question: Was Trent Dilfer an elite quarterback?"
