Baylor was Jordan before Jordan. You just picture his as the Cosby look-alike screwing up the Clippers. But he's EASILY one of the greatest ever.

New hbob podcast would have been interesting if simmons celtics aspergers wasnt out of control. He even managed to talk at length anout the 86 and 08 celtics. You can even sense hbob trying to push the conversation away and simmons brings it back to boston every time

Prob even worse with the pats on NFL pods

Also lol @ 08 celtics being a top 3 modern era team. Bill smoking that good stuff. They might not be top 10. Last two title teams smoke them for sure

hmmm I'm not sure they're better than peak Lebron-Heat teams.

Baylor not being top 50 is dumber than anything on that list.....although Dirk at #37 and Nash unranked are both really absurd (and I hate the Mavs).

The way Simmons is so desperate for Haralabob's approval makes me cringe a little.

I would also pay to watch Bob's reaction when Simmons pumps him for picks to tail.

I've never seen the limits of Canadian politeness.

Also both Simmons and Bob were wrong about Spurs beating the Sonics in 07, it was 05 and it was 6 games not 5. It was a very good series though.

i thought the flow of this was a lot better than their previous pods. maybe because they were in the same room, i can't remember that happening before (outside the tv show) but i imagine it has. it also seemed like bill realised a bit that he needs to tone down some of the idiocy around bob.

was good when bob got really animated at the end and essentially told simmons to stfu and stop interrupting.

I love how simmons big question at the end was just another dumb trade machine for the celts.

I really want to like the Celtics and Stevens and this team. I should prob avoid Simmons to accomplish this

But in all seriousness even as an MA resident it's kinda annoying this is basically the Bill Simmons thread instead of actually all of sports media thread. Esp since yall claim to not even like him that much.

Jack mccallum, SI writer who picked the top 50 nba players of all time in the 90s, just redid his rankings for the first time since then, which I thought was pretty neat.

http://www.si.com/nba/2016/02/09/mic...y-nba-greatest
look at the first page, this was the Bill Simmons thread and then SE expanded the scope, starting w/ Grantland and going from there

it's been "Bill Simmons/Sports Guy Containment Thread" or "Bill Simmons/Grantland" almost all of it's existence

Basketball geeks would enjoy this podcast. It is not my cup of tea. Is this all Simmons is gong to do? When does he get out of exclusive clause jail?

Al Michaels is just so, so good. Cousin Sal, Haralabob and Al in the same week is murderer's row. Along with Bill Burr and Jim Jeffries they're probably in my top 5 for podcast guests.

I haven't listened to the whole thing cuz it's kinda dry, but it sounds like Simmons takes a massive bong rip at the start of the Thibs podcast. Either that or some whip its.
