I'm pumped that SVP is leaving because Russillo has always been way better. Although he still has to prove he can carry his own show but with all the other clowns out there I'm sure he'll do fine.

imo his ball denial is legitimately useful and i wonder how many seconds on average he wastes with it. i wouldn't be surprised if someone looked into it and found that it's surprisingly impactful as a defensive tactic. seems like something backups pgs should be doing as much as possible
meant to post this in the bulls/cavs thread

everytime i've tried to read a simmons article, which is like 3 times, i always go through a few paragraphs then scroll down and realize im only 5% done and just say *** it and go do something else, idk why that turd cant be less rambly.

Dammit doesn't he have four more months left on his contract? I was really looking forward to listening to this.

Yep I started rolling my eyes 5 minutes in and had to turn it off after about 25 or so - his response when Lowe brought up brooks rolling Perkins out there over and over again vs the heat was cringe-worthy

i would like to see more rusillo on nba-related stuff, he used to have a podcast that was a good solid rundown of nba happenings. he doesn't really get into analysis too much but is pretty clued in generally and a good talker

JVG is okay as long as he's not talking about anything related to basketball.

JVG is great with the exception of being defensive of coaches, but that's so understandable I can't get worked up about it all. Maybe not a great podcast guest, but I love love love him in the booth.

SI has learned that ESPN and Simmons have worked out an agreement that officially ends his tenure as a front-facing employee for ESPN. Simmons sent an email to Grantland staffers this week informing them that he would no longer be working for the site he founded in 2011. Simmons will also no longer do podcasts or appear on television for ESPN.

For a guy like JVG you never know when you are gonna get your next job in the league, and who you might be working for and who might be working for you, so no point burning bridges doing a guest spot on a podcast.

I don't blame JVG for Anything, I blame Lowe for not recognizing the situation and finding something else to talk about.
