I'd do it even if Simmons' started with the whiny excuses for poor performance while I was still giving Yoshida her rogering.

Netflix backed up the truck for Chelsea Handler. If they're going for daily content then they're at least going to dabble in sports, and they obviously favor iconoclastic types.

They could continue 30 for 30 with no problem and let Bill shape their riff on SportsCenter - which sounds like the most fun in the world. And they seem pretty hands-off.

I wish I could get money on this at like 8:1.

Bill sucks at day to day sports gambling because according to him he has to much info.

I don't mind the 5 minutes of Boston homerism and nostalgia a few times a year, and Bill has good repoire with his dad. But I imagine if you live in Boston, you get enough of that already.

How much would Deadspin have to offer Podcast Joe to get him to cough up the stuff that was edited out of the BS Report with the SNL book guy?

ESPN Ombudsman with another great post. He might be the best writer they have. Good section on Simba towards the bottom of his most recent entry http://espn.go.com/blog/ombudsman

Phil Jackson is arguing with Bomani Jones and Haralabos on twitter and I think that's super interesting. Bo and Bob saying Kobe shoots too much, Phil disagrees).

I'm pretty awful at navigating Twitter. Did Phil respond directly to hvs point about svu data? That's all I saw and couldnt see if Phil wrote anything back

I see like three tweets between all of them that aren't interesting at all but I also don't know how to navigate

Yeah- that fizzled out faster than I expected. Doesn't look like Phil really responded.

The key part of the Ewing theory is that the star with too much attention who left never actually won anything.

ah i didnt realise that was a key component, thought it was just megastar leaves -> team gets better

Yea what's that all about, just stumbled onto it

Ahhh ok read it that's awesome. Simmons playing chicken with ESPN, gives zero ****s and he's 100% right. And not a soul I know can stand Mike and Mike. They are the guys at the bar you over hear talking about sports, yet they rarely know what the **** they're talking about.

I feel like Bill Simmons is trying to get fired, and I love it. I have never been a fan of Mike Golic, he just seems like an ex-athlete who stumbled into a good situation with a good partner in radio.

I've always kind of liked Mike Greenberg for some unknown reason. He's certainly not in my natural wheelhouse. But Mike Golic has always been a huckster with really bad casualfan opinions.

I actually think Simmons is lowering himself to get involved in a war of words with Mike Golic. And taking a sideswipe at the ombudsman piece was unwarranted. It laid a legit argument and was well written. He shouldn't be butthurt about that. He should have used it to get better. I guess when you are worth as much as he is as a solo brand you don't really have to listen to other people, no matter how unbiased and well-intentioned they may be.
