just imagine him with a big piece of cheese on his head, sitting in a recliner with his beer belly hanging out. 100% better.

This is the same Bill Simmons who thought Adrian Peterson was worth like 3 first-round picks in trade this offseason, right?

It's really bizarre for me to think that an old college roommate of mine got me into reading Simmons back when he was on Digital City Boston.

he's either kinda dumb or faking it to appeal to casualfan given that we know he has access and involvement in stats and advanced analysis stuff (MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, etc), it's strange to say the least. he says/writes some very stupid things at times, quite mindbottling.

IMO, it's like poker players who know that all of these stats exist, all of the poker forums exist with tons of info to learn, but still say **** like "I wish he would have folded his KK preflop when I had AA because he ended up hitting"

Just noticed Chuck Klosterman is no longer included among the "Contributors" tab on grantland -- anyone know the story with this?

he's still there if you click it, he's just not on the dropdown. which is weird because he was once near the very top. noticed this a while back.

Klosterman is also moving over to FiveThirtyEight whenever Silver re-launches the site. They discussed in the N Silver podcast I believe.

So I assume he leaves Grantland and will no longer contribute his one article per year.

Also just noticed that Jay Caspian Kang got moved from near the top of that list to almost the very bottom. LOL Grantland politics

Robert Smigel podcast was good, but there was some serious cutting, especially around where Smigel is talking about Stephen A. Smith.

Yeah, Smigel was good.

i actually emailed them asking about the order on that tab. not sure why and i'm not holding my breath for a reply.

i enjoyed some of rembert's road trip a lot. he might be an annoying hipster but he's a good writer.
