Omissions playlist had better indie stuff. Listened to the podcast and it was like chicks who like pop/wrap and pretend to like indie. Kind of a disgrace, but at least they had a song from animal collective.

The guy who did the writeup for 'new slang' was spot on.

girls in hoodies is unlistenable - they must say 'like' 200-300 times with a pod plus another 50 or so awkward laughs.

From the mailbag:

"Speaking of the channel-flipping thing, we have more entertaining starting pitchers than ever (Clayton Kershaw, Yu Darvish, Matt Harvey, Felix Hernandez, Jose Fernandez, Stephen Strasburg, David Price and Matt Cain, to name eight)"

uhhh, Bill, one of these names is not like the others

Just skip it.

First 30 minutes was mostly about the VMA's/Miley, then BS went on to say he would crush his daughters dreams if she ever wanted to be an actress or an olympic gymnast.

Ya, really like the rapport there.

Jonah Keri's podcast is great if you like baseball at all.

Jalen Rose content lacking the past little while.

I haven't bothered with Jalen for quite some time. I agree on jonah. That's a solid podcast.

the common sense rule i've always lived by is 'don't listen to jalen in the offseason'

same with PTI when i used to listen to that (that's a pretty embarrassing admission i guess)

#HotSportsTake pretty solid again today, although the subject matter doesn't really lend itself to the best part of the column - people getting FURIOUS in the facebook comments

Liked this Jeter's defense piece

I used to bash Jeter's defense as much as the next guy. But after watching his replacements such as NunEEE airmail routine throws to 1st, I became more tolerant. But it's easy to overlook his defense when he's cranking out 200 hits a year. Now he's just old and it's only a matter of time before he hangs it up permanently.

I also think it's silly to assume his defense cost the Yankees more championships. They made the playoffs basically every year.

Oh I agree it was fair. Only part I really disagree with is he cost Yankees more championships because he didn't work on improving defense til his mid 30's. Yankees didn't lose 2001 and 2003 World Series because of his defense.

Maybe there was a defensive play he missed in Game 4 of 2004 ALCS that allowed Roberts to eventually have chance to steal 2nd. IDK.
