Did anyone get through that Ewing theory redux article? I figured he at least outgrew that theory by now. (And replaced it with 12 more)

Tried to read it, got through a paragraph or two and realized that was going to be the entire piece. You deserve a medal if you finished the whole thing in a sitting.

I liked it.

He should consider renaming it to the Ewing phenomenon.

Remember when Simmons cried about Leon Powe having more free throws in 15 minutes than the entire Lakers team in a NBA finals game, and the Celtics as a whole shooting 4x more?

http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?id=280608002

Yeah, me neither.

Must be a Boston thing. I remember watching this game my freshman year of college

http://www.basketball-reference.com/...205030BOS.html

Deciding game 5 of first round, Boston wins by 33 points, and Tom Heinsohn STILL spent the entire game complaining about the FT disparity. Even though Boston took 29 3's and was just chucking it up from the outside all game. It was painful to listen to. You could tell the other announcer wanted to say Tom, we're killing them, relax.

As a Lakers fan and someone who thinks that whining about officials in general is weaksauce, I rarely complain about how bad the refs were against one of my teams, but this was one of the few games where I did. It doesn't really matter with regards to the outcome of that series, seeing as the Celtics murdered the Lakers in game 6, but that particular game was complete and utter bull**** IMO.

still undecided if i like the jalen podcast yet. sometimes it's good, but sometimes he's quite the blowhard, and jacoby is a weird dude who seems preoccupied with turning everything into something epic and special. he also just tends to agree with everything jalen says even when jalen is fos.

example, Jalen's stance on the wale/matt devlin beef... totally ironic that he gets on Devlin's case for not knowing his info and that if you don't know you should just keep your mouth shut.. yet if you watch the clip it was plainly obvious the Raps booth was just making fun of themselves for being so old and unhip.

grantland network podcast ratings

men in blazers >>>>>>>>>>>>> klosterman interviews (probst one was fantastic) > jacoby and some chick on reality TV > greenwald/ryan TV > jalen rose

not included - TBJ since it's its own thing imo

i look forward to men in blazers every week. just an awesome podcast. jalen and jacoby's entourage pod last week wasn't bad at all but it was more directed toward casualfan.

Jalen Rose and BS did the halftime show of a NBA game a couple of weeks ago without any "professional" anchoring/moderating, I think it was spurs/nets, and it was great, it was like a podcast but on TV and they were wearing ties.

FAIK they do that all the time but I never really watch the NBA on TV so it was new to me at least.

Sure am glad Simmons used 378 of the 454 words in his Al Horford contract write up to focus on the fact that Brandon Jennings was going to get overpaid.

Thanks guy.
