Mad Dog Loses It Over ESPN's NBA Coverage

The Thunder and my wolves played a terrific game tonight. I go to ESPN's website to check out their take. Nothing on the front page so i head to the NBA page. No link there either but they do have "What's on Lonzo's Feet? Follow the Lonzo Ball Sneaker Tracker".

Does anyone know of any data or info regarding how much last night's SNF commercial spots cost? (Especially relative to a typical SNF game). Perhaps I'm over-thinking this or I was overly impressionable, but I thought last night's commercials were a step up from the usual Sunday football trash that I'm used to seeing.

LOOOOOOOOOOOL Skipper must be the most incompetent person of all time.

If you're going to cancel the show at this point because they insist on having it have the Barstool logo and name stick, then why the hell allow it in the first place?

Like you don't have to green light the show in the first place. The only story is "ESPN and PFT/Big Cat in talks and talks fell through" rather than the two possible outcomes of "ESPN didn't realize Barstool's past issues with shamefully misogynistic content" or "ESPN know about those issues and didn't care about them until women at ESPN spoke to ESPN brass about those issues"

They finally got the 'hip' show to actually cater to the 'cool kids' and millennials and they cancel it within 2 weeks. Lol. ***** skipper. Guess they'll stick with the plan to keep having sports center anchors speak in memes.

Wouldn't it have been better to just hire PFT and Big Cat away from Barstool?

Wait, did that actually say "we got exactly the show we expected, so we have to cancel it"???

I am as big a sports junkie as they come, and I can't remember the last time I watched anything on ESPN except live sports. I have a apps on my phone to get sports news as it comes, and subscribe to podcasts to get deeper analysis and entertainment. ESPN just has nothing for me except showing the games lives in a convenient format.

Just a sign of the times I guess.

It says, "we got the show we expected, but we have to cancel it for political reasons (since it wasn't a huge hit)".

So the President of ESPN approved the show and probably screened the pilot then canceled it. All this does is cause a PR nightmare when millennials spread this around, regardless if the show was good.

Big Cat and PFT really just need to get out of Barstool and go solo in the podcast game

Maybe that is less of a PR disaster than what would happen if the show was left on. In an age of Trump, O'Reilly, and Weinstein, this story probably didn't help:

Seems like in any primarily comedic environment you're going to get a bunch of offensive sexual jokes aimed at you. guessing they're just making explicit what is usually implied in places like that. Then apparently they exempted her from signing it? Oh but of course she had to post it because she wanted Twitter points os.

Literally anywhere else besides a couple places like barstool and that document is appalling, obviously.

Sucks for Big Cat and PFT that things turned out this way.

Not sure if it’s kind of a Barstool running joke, but no one seems to like Dave. I wonder if they’ll be pissed and blame him for what happened.

This has been out there for a few weeks. If this is about Barstool then ESPN leadership REEEEALLLLYYYYYY screwed up royally. I'd argue terminable given other recent issues.
