New Simmons column about Jemele Hill and ESPN is really good (apart from the lol part where Simmons can't help but be Simmons about how Grantland's lowbrow crap was better than the other ESPN lowbrow crap)

Good for Big Cat and PFT...hope this turns out to be a great thing for them.

They mentioned on the last podcast that this will allow them to get guests they currently would never be able to. Curious to find out what that means.

I saw 'stick by it's talent' then a photo of Stephen A, Skip, and Jemele and didn't need to read further. Credibility lost

Wow, did they really mispell "its" in their headline? That's embarrassing.
Spoiler:
I had to check. Nope.

Far better than ESPN. And I don’t think ESPN is nutlow.

Yeah thats a hot take. Infowars exists lol. I don't even consider barstool to be traditional "media", its a comedy site. But I didn't know that it existed before PFT got hired there so maybe they've changed their scope since then?

I thought barstool was funny when i was in college ~8 years ago. Tbh I'm amazed it still exists and that it has any following over the age of 22

Still better than ESPN though

Portnoy himself is ****ing terrible (I actually met him once irl in like 2009.) but he's managed to hire some pretty awesome people.

yeah breaking news gigantic *******s are sometimes good at building great brands.

I dont judge things after one episode so I would never say it was bad but PMT was not good at the beginning. I have faith that these guys will create something entertaining, especially with the resources they have.

Dodgers just went to the World Series, Chiefs and raiders played a great game on tnf, there was a good cfb game, 15 hockey games, 12 other NBA games and ESPN just spent 15 minutes airing Lavar ball live on sportscenter being interviewed by Stephen a smith after his son went 1-6 and scored 3 pts
