To be fair, he's from ESPN Deportes, and I doubt English is his most comfortable language. Gonna put the blame on ESPN for trotting him out there.

Apparently he works for ESPN Deportes and English is his second language. Also handled the media attention pretty well, tweeted a screenshot of him googling "how to deal with fame"
