heres my thing with firefox. and this happens on both my mac and windows. has happened for like 6 months now despite updating as able.

1. back button functionality. sometimes it doesnt exist. like i click and navigate to a new page, but nothing shows up in the address bar and the back button is not functional. refreshing doenst solve it.

now, i can continue to navigate from links on that page. eventually, on some random page in the future, the address will show up and the back button will work. now, i can go all the way back to prior to when the problem started.

2. cntrl+f search functionality. say i got a few tabs or windows open. i cntrlf and the finder shows up at the bottom of the page and i can search for some text. cool. but it only works on an "active" page. so if i go to another tab, that i havent been using, and try to cntrlf, it will let me enter text, but it wont return anything. now if i go back to the initial page, searching wont work similarly. this is resolved by refreshing the page i want to search, prior to searching. annoying as hell.

is this an understandable summary? anyone kno wats goin on? anyone care heh?

I'm with Victor.

I like the add ons too. Plus the bookmarks toolbar. All the **** I want to see is right there. With chrome I might have to type it out. The less the better.

Chrome's refusal to play nice with flash can be annoying. The ad blocker and pop up blocker both are pretty lousy relative to what you get from firefox, but it's so much faster that I've stuck with it. (also the spellchecker is really dumb).

i have never seen an ad on chrome, and its versatile enough to allow me some ffvb functions like ignoring threads and hiding the links to forums on the side bar that i dont need to see

Yeah the spellchecker on Chrome is by far my least favorite part. Tells me I misspell **** when I have it right so then I go and dictionary it only to find out I was right and feel even dumber.

That chick seems insanely demanding, so much so, that I am surprised your friend even mentioned this issue to her.

Attend wedding and then distance your self from this suckubus. Your friend is sol.

I would sort of have a problem letting one of my friends that is close enough to me to ask me to be a groomsmen (I mean this is a pretty rare thing for people without a lot of brothers) marry a chick like this. Is that me being closer to a high school girl or closer to a good friend? I mean I've only been a groomsmen once and thankfully his wife is awesome and not

If you haven't said your piece to your boy who is close enough to ask you to be a groomsman by the time it comes to that, it's too late to do so, imo.

I have a question that needs to be answered:

What is more detrimental to the health a professional athlete who is 6'4" tall?

~15 years playing in the MLB

or

~15 years playing in the NBA

NBA obviously.

Excluding a guy who plays catcher for 15 years I would say NBA without a doubt. I'm admittedly baseball dumb though.

The issue with ads is that it's crazy with the false positives and the interface is really horrible..

Yeah it was an interesting discussion that started with the claim that Cal Ripken Jr. was definitely a roid user. That lead to this discussion about NBA vs MLB.

I leaned towards MLB based upon the volume of games and how many times a 6'4" middle infielder (Ripken's height) would have to go to the ground HARD over the course of a season. (base-running and fielding) Comparing this with a 82-game season where it's not guaranteed that you will be sprinting hard all game depending on the type of ball your team and the team you're facing plays.

There has been one pick set in the history of baseball, it was by Albert Belle and it was a pretty big deal.

I watched Jeremy Lin get repeatedly hit in the face and thrown to the ground last night- and basically nobody cared.
