$5 for a red cup was super standard and even $10 wouldn't make anyone bat an eye. Can't believe this is even up for debate.

Meh. We'd have marching band/music department (lol band geeks) parties every Saturday night of home football games. Most of the time it was byob, but when kegs were bought, $5 was the standard charge. Underclassmen loved this, as it saved them from having to secure a legal buyer. (although that usually wasn't a problem)

my father went to Northwestern and brought me up as a fan

my first year rooting for them in any sport was football in 1995 when they won the Big Ten and went to the Rose Bowl, my 10 year old self was unaware of their historical futility

It's not as bad as I expected. Couple people basically think they should be contracted, but not too many.

Am I the only person who not only isn't shocked by this "scandal" and doesn't care, but pretty much always assumed there were bonuses for huge hits?

That's rhetorical, I assume I'm not the only one. I'm just baffled by the outrage on this one.

True, but given the culture of the NFL until the recent safety push, I just assumed this kind of thing was going on.

Just seems like a lot of the outrage is hypocritical.
