One of the big party frats on campus got busted by the cops, who ransacked their house and hit them with a $2,000 fine for each of the 15 kegs that they found in the house, for a whopping $30,000. Couple that financial blow with the additional heat they got from The Dean, and that frat was dead within 1 year
A lot of frats have since transitioned to springing a little extra for 30s in order to avoid the crippling financial liability of getting caught with kegs
