did some CURLING today for the first time

wasnt hard to get used to. I had no issues pushing off and probably got the stone in the target about a third to half the time. of course that doesnt mean I could hit actual spots with any accuracy and I had two go into the side wall trying to overcurl it lol

sweeping at the beginner level seems to have no purpose other than giving two people something to do besides stand around

judging where the stone would end up was basically impossible. there were times I thought it would land short of the green line but it hit the back wall and vice versa

overall would recommend

So....just a little fun post/self-brag but mostly as a thank you to 2p2. You've been a consistent for those years. Oddly enough, maybe the only consistent I have personally had. I'll have joined 2p2 14 years ago this July. And through them I have sat in this perpetual instability.


Tomorrow is our spring football game. Why is that important?

I have been involved in football since I was 5 years old. I only missed 1 full year of football due to a bull**** situation that occurred my first, and only year, as a graduate assistant. I have played pop warner, high school, and college football. I have coached as an undergraduate assistant at a Division 2 school, as a graduate assistant at 1AA/FCS school, as a freshman football coach(undefeated season), 2 years as a varsity football assistant at the high school level(2 undefeated seasons, 2 rangz, 1 FBS recruit), as quality control coach at a BCS automatic bid school(rangz), as a defensive coordinator at the high school level(2 FCS recruits, 1 FBS recruit), a Middle School assistant and now, a recruit/quality adviser.

In all my years, I suffered a concussion in my first year of college and missed my spring football game, and suffered a career ending injury in my 2nd spring football game. Tomorrow will be my first spring football game in 14 years that I have had a real hand in(the 2 as undergrad assistants I was just a bystander).

It maybe not as big of a deal as it is in my head. But it kind of stands as a moment of stability, that in 14 years, I haven't had. My entire adult life, I did not know where I was going to be, especially at the collegiate level, the next fall.

I'm feeling pretty excited. I also can't wait to sit in the booth, It's been 5 long months.
