Home safe and sound. Getting here was a gigantic headache, everything to the north of me is flooded and there is only 1 way into my county right now. The northern and eastern part of our county is wiped out. If you are interested any local news of WBTW or WMBF or WPDE have videos and information about my area. And the expectation is for it to get worse as the week goes on with my attendance area for the students I teach to flood out completely by Sunday. But...it's still nowhere near what has happened to Wilmington and where my parents home is. That is beyond terrifying what is happening there.

With that said, I was hoping someone here had experience getting deductions on taxes due to evacuation expenses. My wife and I are sitting down doing that this morning so we do not forget and was wondering if anyone had done it before.

I have no experience, but can say that everyone impacted by this hurricane will get an extension from the IRS. r/personalfinance or r/taxpros would be great places for this question. I wish you and everyone else improved fortune from here on out.

They evacuated to Maryland and are still there. I don't think they have any plans yet of returning. Getting into Wilmington is still not easy and if you do get in there is very little for anyone returning. I don't know what their plan is or what it should be. Nor do we know how their home is.

We will just wait and see I guess.

Just gonna go out to say it. Some tattoos look good and make a person (woman) more attractive. A few are downright sexy. But the vast majority make the user look worse: skanky, sleezy, idiotic, or offensive.
