Sounds like you need a trip to GLACIER national park Clark.

25+DC for me using a loose interpretation of visited. This includes MS which I have stopped in for gas/food but otherwise tried to get out of as fast as possible on several drives back and forth between Atlanta and New Orleans.

Seems like 2 trips gets you to 50 pretty easily.

Certainly does. I've been to the US twice, made it to 13 states + DC, Montana was one of them. GLACIER.

I think it was 14 if you include VA but I just went to Arlington Cemetery, seems like it doesn't count.

I would say that ofc driving through counts. and certainly if you stopped to eat or something. but you do get a feel for the state by driving through so that counts.

I would say driving through counts more than Maine for me when I only kayaked across the border from NH and stayed the night in a campground then went back the next day. I dunno.

Ive been to every state except the Pacific Northwest. And I think only a couple would only be driven through status too, Kansas, and South Carolina.

heres the states Ive missed thus far: Washington, Oregon, Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, Idaho, Wyoming, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Alaska and Hawaii.

Only driven through, Kansas 3x, South Carolina 4x, Rhode Island once and Connecticut once. I think I took a hike in delaware once while driving through too.

Not too bad Id say, all but 12.

Why do we count states we drive through but not fly through

What if you take a cruise along a States coast, does that count ?

I’m at 21 + DCwoat

Of the 33 I've been to, wife and I have been to 29 of them together. Likely try to hit all 50 together, but at some point gotta decide if that trip to West Virginia is really worth it.

31 + DC for me. I've designed a building in 2 of the states (NJ and Del) i've never been to. Those should count for half or something.
