Commenting really is soulsucking but it is pretty nice to basically get paid what's a good salary to most people just for sitting in a car 2-3 hours a day.

Could do the exact same job 5 minutes from my house but would make probably 50-70k less per year.

ATL traffic is just a way for them to distract you from the fact that the falcons blew a 4,367,836 point lead to the Patriots in the super bowl. Stay woke fam.

I read the cutoff on whether or not it's +EV to own a car or Uber everywhere is something like 13,000 miles a year

Assuming you already own your car outright ??

I think it assumes 3-4k of payments and depreciation which seems reasonable

I drive about 12,000 miles a year to work. Just looked at Uber and it would run me $37,500 a year if I never hit surge charge.

Leasing is where it's at if you have to drive. Rates are incredibly low.

I'm at about 7,000 miles a year on my car, but it makes it easier for the long trips and golf so its worth it imo.

As always the answer is don't be poor and make a lot of money

Pro move is to buy a RV and get a second job as an uber driver. Then you can drive people around all day while simultaneously "working from home."

Why work 1 job at a time and be poor when you can work 2 at a time? I'm sure there's a way to squeeze a 3rd job in there too, but I'll let others elaborate.

I'm really confused about the Atlanta bridge collapse. In the article it says some of the steel to support the bridge melted, but according to the 9-11 conspiranuts, steel can't melt from a fire.

I live downtown and have a one block commute; the wife and I have only had one car for 6 years and never had an issue. Pretty +EV life decision ime.
