Woke up on New Years Day to discover that my satellite provider (DirecTV) has lost two of the four major network feeds, no idea if or when they will be back. When I turn on ABC or NBC I am directed to a Web site www.directvpromise.com (Cliffs: It's not our fault, we're awesome, it's their fault).

If they lose two of four major network affiliates it is pretty much their fault, right?

Namath I just checked those two and they're still working on Directv in San Diego. Losing some random channel is one thing but losing 2 of the major 4 ones is pretty dumb.

I think we had that happen with NBC last New Year's. It became a 24/7 Cox propaganda feed of some woman saying they wanted too much and were screwing poor Cox over complete with happy music and bubbly figures and graphs depicting the screwing. It eventually got worked out a few days later.

the ABC affiliate was using scare tactics down here yesterday "OMGZ YOU ARE NOT GONNA GET TO SEE TEH FLORIDA GATORS PLAY BECAUSE DIRECTV" which appears to be exactly what is going to happen. Most of the sports bars tend to have DirecTV too because of Sunday Ticket so it'll be hard to see it at a sports bar too. Best to have a buddy who has Comcast I guess

Eddie are you under contract? I read somewhere today (not confirmed) that if you are they will hit you with a $20 charge for every month you have left on your contract if you cancel early
