I live in what is now apparently called Sawtelle Japantown in West Los Angeles, also known as "Tokyotown," "Little Osaka" and "the Sawtelle corridor." I went to my local coffee shop and observed the following:
- The majority of pedestrians were staring at their phones, almost obviously playing Pokemon Go.
- A married couple was walking their dog and the husband caught a pokemon and pumped his fist in sarcastic triumph while his dog took a dump.
- While in the coffee shop there were 5 customers. All, including me, were trying to be the best there ever was.
- My local GOAT Mexican restaurant is a poke-stop. This means I can buy them lures and help them generate extra business. I will probably do that.
- I caught a bunch of purple EL RATAs.
I also negotiated the capture of the elusive BLOWLAX last night. Would recommend.
