Did he move from WAS to GB a long time ago or something?

Broncos would always be #1.. but if I lived somewhere for a long time I may adopt that team? Not sure if I would.. but it seems like it might happen.

no clue, there are plenty of them here as well.

I can see liking other teams, but actively rooting for them and supporting them via apparel purchases seems bizarre.

He should talk with whoever that dude was from g1212's thread so they can support each other on the rough life of being a Packers fan.

i liken it to wow

you've got your main and you've got your alts. i've got alts in most sports kinda, but to be an equal dual team fan in one league is just dumb

the only time it would be acceptable is that you are allowed to root for a new team that begins play in your city as well as continuing to support your current team (obviously you can also root for a team if you are related to a player or something).

Impossible to support 2 teams in the same league with the same passion. Just impossible.

Like, for example, I root for the Texans, although my heart is still with the Saints, which makes it easier to keep a level of detachment and laugh when the Texans fail because of something stupid Kubiak did. And of course there's no question whom I root for if they play each other.

meh. for a dude like that, obviously he's a clown, but there are exceptions: for someone who moves to a new city and starts a family/puts down roots, switching primary loyalties is, imo, completely acceptable.

There are so many ways to watch your team now, that even moving cities isn't an excuse for changing teams. Sorry, just not buying it.

Yes, children should be brainwashed so they support your teams. Anything else is unacceptable.

it's not about what's an excuse, it's about making your kid into the douchebag yankees fan in illinois.

at this point, its pretty much expected any die hard Yankee fan will likely be a bit douchy.

Any Boston team as well.

how do people who are dual pro sports team fans in the same sport even exist? how do they live with themselves? how do they actually get emotionally invested enough to have a complete meltdown for all of the world to see?

ive made like 234 posts about this, but it's a phenomena ill never understand
Sports fandom is not rational.

I'm a huge Redskins and Ravens fan. Out of every sports, these are my two favorite teams. The Washington Wizards have sucked for so long and been so poorly managed that I tried to become an OKC fan a while back....and for some reason I just couldn't do it. I wanted to like them, but I just ended up not caring.

I mean, the entire "I was born within these imaginary lines, so I root for this team" concept isn't rational to begin with. You just end up liking whomever you end up liking and go with it imo.

Only people that don't count are those who root for all the common bandwagon teams, such as someone who is a fan of the Lakers, Yankees, Cowboys, and Duke all at once. Those guys suck the biggest bag of dicks in the history of bags of dicks.

i was a transplant to MD/VA for most of the 2000's. i never switched NFL allegiances, but from the outsider viewpoint rooting for the redskins was/is the nut low.
