While Apple is only capable of making overpriced toys and their engineers are too lazy/incompetent to tackle slightly complicated tasks.
thread has moved past this, but if this is a criticism of apple engineers then what do you think of the govt engineers

shane,

overdose of morphine is the good doctor standard ime.

Pwn_Master,

It is clear your level of technical understanding most closely resembles that of a sheep, or maybe a chicken, I forget which is dumber.

I suggest you avoid arguing on this subject with knowledgable and competent individuals.

So I'm embarrassed I just recently discovered Bobby Shmurda's "Hot *****"

If anyone can suggest trap music similar to that and Love Sosa type stuff please suggest. I need to get into this for a bit.

Just convinced my wife (Broncos fan) that the NFL is considering adopting the "3 second sack violation" in response to the Broncos defense, an additional referee will be in the backfield and begin the play with his arm in the air, once the ball is snapped his arm will begin descending and when it hits his side the QB is fair game. If a QB makes a left, right or forward movement, he can be hit.

She's been ranting about pulling panties out of pussies and the damn crying Pats since I brought it up. I never thought I could top convincing her that Forrest Gump was a true story but here we are.

What technical issue that has been brought to my attention by those more knowledgeable than I have I disputed? Sorry, didn't know I had to be a glorified pump and dump salesman in a field related to technology to chime in on the matter.

How does this end? Bothering with more procedures seems pointless, painful, and with a 90% chance of death on the table. On the other hand, his ****ing hip is shattered and that seems agonizing.

Should I get that pillow with the handles that they used on Scalia? My uncle is also an old wop from Jersey with excellent politics. In seriousness, he's fought one hell of a fight and broke RJ Reynolds' actuarial tables, but I don't see how he makes it out this time.

Do they morphine him up and ride it out? Is there an unspoken nudge toward the light from a hospice doctor in this situation? I would have preferred that he got to go out with more grace than a broken hip.
My grandmpa died from that surgery 2 years ago. The only thing I really regret is not seeing him in person before the surgery (it happened very fast). Btw the procedure itself isn't painful obviously. But make sure your uncle's affairs are in order before it happens. As you pointed out, the mortality rate is wicked high. It depends how good his heart is (far as I know).

I dunno man, maybe the whole backdooring one of the most widely used personal communication devices in the history of the universe. It's almost like insane amounts of research and development from governments around the world haven't already been put into this.

Hurp durp engineers at Google are good apple bad Hurp durp

"Glorified pump and dump salesman" hahaha I do like the shot tho.

Stick to the kiddy pool next time tho pal, you hit my shoes with drool on that one. I'll have to have someone like you to give me a shine later.

1. well, you went ahead and started with the cream of the crop, so any suggestions are gonna likely be a step down.

2. dude is one of the few that actually lived it, and is fixing to get 25 years for conspiracy to commit murder, drug trafficking, etc. and apparently he was the main one doing all of it too, not just a "name" to attach to an indictment.

kinda changed how I looked at the dude. lol like, "oh..."

also this had me dying the first time i saw it:

p.s. 'citgo' by chief keef is nothing like hot ***** but was the first thing that came to mind.

also, don't ask anyone that solely listens to trap music what's good bc invariably they're gonna have you listening to some weirdo ****. the more popular Migos songs are good, but don't let anyone tell you that young thug will change your life. next thing you know you'll love blouses and pumps the way KC loves umbrellas. game saying her, "beat the victoria secret out of" YT is the best thing I've ever heard. One thing I don't get about the whole a Apple backdoor thing is what the FBI is even asking for in regards to this one specific phone.

Like, do they not have the physical phone in their possession and can just go through it? Is Apple not providing all the records like who they texted with etc?

There's a lot of derp from Olds about how they just want this to look at this one phone. What the **** do they need to look at?

This is the simple version.

When your phone is locked, it allows 10 attempts before locking (and possibly wiping all data if enough failures occur).

The FBI wants apple to backdoor the operating system so it will not care about failures. Then they will brute force the password using super computers that can try millions of passwords until they hit the right one.

In order to do that, Apple has to rearchitect a cracked and brute-force-able version of the operating system, and load it onto that phone. Then the FBI can guess and check until it opens.

If this new operating system were to leak (which is a milk your wife's tits lock) it could be used on every phone. It also sets the precedent that the government can just request back doors to anyone and get them to comply.

Making this alternate operating system is also nontrivial and may take either a long time or be impossible.

I wonder what Apple and their $180 billion in offshore cash could possibly be angling a lame duck President for.

That's Apple's assertion, that has been denied by basically everyone else I have read on the subject. It also doesn't make sense to me as a programmer myself.

Another thing I don't understand on the subject is why the FBI can't just rip the data store out of the iPhone, read it with custom hardware and decrypt it. I presume they thought just asking Apple to do it would be easier.

I think there is definitely some gamesmanship happening. It is surprising that the NSA does not have tools available, but apparently here we are.

I think a lot of this has to do with trust. Do you trust the FBI to fully comply with Apple and not keep or distribute this technology? I sure as hell don't.
Sporting Events FAQ, Liveblog, and BANGERS Quote
02-19-2016 , 09:39 AM
They don't have the capability to do so. For one thing Apple could hack the phone themselves and then supply the decrypted contents to the FBI. For another, if Apple distribute a version of iOS locked to the target device, it will be digitally signed with Apple's RSA key. The FBI can't just alter the device ID without altering the iOS code and making the signature invalid.

I think you're taking Apple's statement too much at face value. Much of what they said in it just does not seem accurate. The court order seemed more in tune with the facts.

so the true tldr is the fbi has the phone in question but it is currently impossible to look at whats on it?

pretty shocked that is a situation that exists.

just plug it in to abby's computer and she can mash the keyboard for 10 seconds as some red things flash on the screen before saying "i'm in!"
