Yes, please. At any given time the team-specific threads take up 3/4ths of the forum, and it's been annoying for a v long time.

Yeah every team thread but Michigan Football should take a hike, wouldn't mind seeing that

We wouldn't want to let "37 BC roman gladiators on steroids vs. the 2008 Detroit Lions" thread hypotheticals to fall off the first page now would we.

I know this seems like such a no brainer, but I think the forum is fine the way it is.

I think it will mean the team threads are used by an even smaller clique of forum regulars, and be smaller in general, which may be good things to some people, but it kind of defeats the purpose of an open forum in the first place.

Seriously though QFT.

This forum is already well-modded. It's annoying to have to even go to Golf for majors threads. I think this is one of those ideas that people will think is neat and then will quickly become more annoying and cause more problems than it should.

Also, where would beloved threadzilla go? It would be it's own sub-forum imo!

I like this. It would allow stuff that's not team related to stay on the front page. I am sure a lot of hood threads die an early death because they get bumped to page 2 prematurely.

Also would it just be "team threads".

Or would it be subbed down to Basketball, Football, Hockey, Baseball, Soccer then team threads

Just seems like a mess and antithetical to the giant cleanup of a while back

+1.

I would guess that the division threads would just get more of the posts that really should be in the team-specific threads, thereby watering down the content.

I think the soccer subforum should be put in. Also a fantasy sports subforum is a good idea. Especially we desperately need an etc. subforum.

Team specific threads seems ok. I'm not thrilled about it but don't really dislike it either. I guess it would be a small improvement so let's give it a go.

lol @ moving team threads somewhere else. wtf is the main page gonna be then??? i mean 80% of the stuff that gets posted there gets locked anyways...wtf would be main page appropriate?

If you wanna make a subforum to get rid of all that soccer/fantasy sports bull**** id be in favor certainly.

let's just have every thread that is started become it's own subforum

I don't like this idea, i'm in the camp that thinks fantasy threads if anything should have a subforum, I like the way it is right now actually

This is a horrendous idea. Change is bad. Tell me who's bitching about the clutter and I'll shut them up. I propose that we open up a public poll on this critical issue so we can see just who is trying to destroy this forum.
