sick beat on the beer. Michigan recently changed the law and now you can buy everything before noon, awesome for tailgates on Sundays, especially in the winter.

Texas has some of the dumbest liquor laws in the country. For a state that prides itself on yee-haw rugged individualism and the freedom to live like a wild west cowboy, they sure do have a lot of stupid restrictions on personal liberty.

A brewery actually sued the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in 2011 because some of their ridiculous laws, among others, state that a brewer cannot disclose where their product is being sold, and also classifies beers by alcoholic content, which forces brewers to intentionally mislabel their beers for sale in Texas. Thanks to TABC laws, you get stuff like high-alcohol IPAs being labeled "malt liquor", while lower-alcohol lagers and pilsners have to be labeled "ale".

In the article I read about the lawsuit, when asked why they do things like this, the TABC's response was basically "We do it like this because that's how we've always done it."

Alabama has dry counties

I forgot until the April tornadoes when power was out in all of this county and I went to a gas station in another county and said, "where's your beer?"

Attendant had obviously been asked that about 9,000 times that day.

Nine? In Milwaukee? You're talking about the one in Wisconsin, right? Near Chicago? With the Brewers?

Yep, went to college in Wisconsin. I thought they allowed beer sales until midnight, but I could be wrong, since schooltime was mostly drinking anyway.

State law allows beer until midnight but Milwaukee stops it at 9.

Pennsylvania liquor laws also suck. Separate stores for beer and liquor/wine, have to buy beers in 24 or 30 packs, so you can't just try a 6-pack of something new, plus they close I believe by 10 every night.

You can't buy a 6 pack?

Wow.
Sporting Events FAQ, Liveblog, and BANGERS Quote

Liquor is at 9, the beer distributors close at 11.

PA really blows though, and no liquor on Sunday, beer is only sold from 12-5.

If you wanted a 6/12 pack you have to go to a bar and pay a large amount of money. Or just live off of MGD/Key lite/Steel Reserve pounders(which you can only get 6 of at a time).

College was hard.
