I'm in Milwaukee tonight and Green Bay tomorrow for the packers-lions game. Anyone have bar/restaurant recommendations in either of these cities? thanks.

Oh, I don't think Natty is a good beer. Far, far from it. But it basically tastes like water to me, which was great for beer pong, whereas Keystone and PBR have distinctive (awful) tastes to me.

Hmm, ratebeer.com has Natty Light as the 3rd worst ranked beer, and PBR not even in the top 50.

I defend my preference on the basis that Natty has no taste, and is the preferable crap beer for getting piss drunk.

PBR is my go to choice for cheap beer. I guess Labatt is there too but that and PBR are on different levels.

So, I heard a new phrase from my neice the other day. She's 13. She called a friend of her a Hipster, and that friend said, "no, I'm not a Hipster, I'm Scene". Anyone heard this before?

No, it sounds awful tho.

Worst beer by far is Old Style. Hipsters seem to love that **** as well.

Term "scenester" predates hipster by a few years. My impression is that they're basically hipsters with a touch more goth to them.

Rainier seems to be that beer up here.

I've never understood why people love Yeungling so much. Seems decidedly average every time I have it.

Tons of good bars on Water Street.. I'm a pretty big fan of the Whiskey Bar which is a bit off Water Street, but a really good bar. If you're interested in a burger, you absolutely need to go to Sobelman's. There's a few locations, but the original is on St. Paul and it's excellent.

no... the hipsters co-opted PBR

PBR was traditionally a trashy bear drank in regular and tall boy cans on porches throughout the poor upper midwest. I'm very familiar with it. It's one of the couple beers used as a standby by both my grandfathers.

I drink PBR, High Life, or MGD. I like the cheap beers that are more than water -- LOL at comparing natty lite to PBR.

I might have to try PBR again just to see if it's better than I remember, but yea, I just preferred Natty for cheap beer because it had no taste to me and was good for beer pong/shot gunning w/e, not because I thought it tasted good at all. I mean I never actually poured myself a glass of Natural Light and thought "mmm, now this is what beer is supposed to be."

PBR would be at Stoney's a year ago or so. Prior to that at the Indy 500 in like 98. I had some Bud not that long ago at the World Series. MGD's been a while but had tons and tons of it over the years, but maybe 10 years. Coors I dislike but prob about 5 years ago with Sucker Dave while golfing.

You all drink some nasty ass ****. Maybe I am a beer snob.

I remember when I was like 20 all I drank was Bud Light. Remember drinking it while tubing down a lazy river in central Texas and some water splashing up into my beer and it tasting no different than without the river water in it.
