We all know Dids because all he does is talk about himself, his work, his life, his cats, his blog, his stomach, his roomates, etc. and bans people for making jokes he doesn't find funny. Dids is horrrrrrible. I've met exactly 2 2+2ers and both were to meet up to play golf/baseball. Yet I feel like I "know" Dids more than any other poster. And I cannot "unsee" his image because it's plastered all over the god damn site because for some reason he thinks people are interested in seeing a 350 pound shirtless Q-tip.

iirc dids was pretty hated pretty widely because of something he did as a mod, led to a temporary demodding. I wasn't involved though so that could be wrong. Was it NVG related?

Dids is cool and was a great roommate. He never came out of his room unless I wanted to hang out with him. We even watched some WSU games together and he tolerated a minimal amount of trolling.

1- Probably the reason I thought this is because those pictures were posted in the context of a weightloss log and a contest where 2p2 posters donated money in support of overweight posters trying to lose weight. (I made about 1k!) While I've posted a great many pictures that in which likely nobody was interested, you've chosen to specifically complain about the ones in which people WERE interested.

2- You were banned not because the jokes were unfunny, but because you decided that a thread about a rather horrible tragedy was the place to make jokes. Quality was not the issue. Quantity and timing were. People have been consistently banned in OOT for making insensitive jokes in threads about tragic current events.

No. I'd say that most of the hate I get has to do with old BBV4L modding (probably fair) and just me being me, which can be awfully abrasive and annoying. The circumstances surrounding my demodding (being insensitive about a poster's suicide threat/complaining about 2p2 moderation on kipin's forum in a way I thought was open but was interpreted as going behind people's back) didn't earn me that much hate from the people hating in SE. (and I've called TSC stupid enough times that he has plenty of reasons to dislike me)

I'm not so unaware that I don't realize I post in a way that draws a lot of attention and that some of that will be negative. I don't mind the hate- but it's amusing that with all of these legitimate justifications for disliking me, people still tend to find some pretty terrible reasons.

To be fair- the house was basically set up where my all stuff was in my room and Kyle and pongo had the whole rest of the house. Also being outside my room when Kyle didn't want to hang out usually meant having to watch some show on ABC Family with an alliterative title where the second word was "Girls" with his wife. (or umm... Project Runway, which I did watch with Kyle's wife).

I don't think my jokes were insensitive though. And 2 days without warning is harsh. Then an additional 5 days because I was logged in with a gimmick and not posting. Only reason I was logged in was b/c my setting made it easier to read.

I would have been fine with post deletion and a firm warning but whatever. It's done with now and I guess I learned my lesson. OOT sucks. That's the lesson.

No that gimmick I posted under but all you did was ban it, you didn't extend my original PDB ban. Then I logged in under my final gimmick and made sure not to post (duh) and was told my original 2 day was extended to 7 days. Unless the message was sent by 2 separate mods. But there was long enough delay that it seemed to me the extension was merely for logging in again even though I wasn't posting.

In any case I doubt anybody sent a mod warning about my "waffle", "sprout" and "Blue Moon" jokes. That entire thread had like 10 posts in it the entire day. You just freaked out and got all Didsy.

I wasn't "hiding" from Dids with the first gimmick. In fact I PMed him to ask him what up wit dat? He didn't respond nor did he mention anything about "if you post from this gimmick or remain logged in your ban will be extended by 5 days." He just ignored me so I figured it wasn't a big deal to post from that account since he knew I was online and I saw that he was as well. Sorry I don't know all the ban protocol.

And the reason I PMed him was b/c he went Dids on me in the past when I intimated that Kate Upton appeared chubby in some pictures and he banned me for a day or something then a couple hours later he lifted it when he realized it was ridiculous.

not that i want to necessarily defend phb or anything, but you guys are pretty arbitrary and subjective about this. i've seen many a current events tragedy threads that become like 95% stupid jokes and nobody cares, and the mods say "lol @ getting butthurt about something that's said on the internet". but then other times you decide to draw a line in the sand when y'all get butthurt about the topic.
