Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. First time I'm spending it at my gf's place which probably means I have to do some family stuff rather than getting drunk at 11AM and yelling at my TV about how much the Lions suck for the next 4 hours.

First time I'm going to my GFs place for thanksgiving too. Usually I'm the only one that cares about football but am at my moms or grandmas and just do whatever I want. Now gonna be the only one that cares about football but unable to just plop down in front of the tv and focus on football.

Am bringing the girlfriend to the family event this year, and will of course post up watching football and throw her to the wolves, so to speak. She'll be fine.

yea, I'm thinking that posting up in the living room with football will be ok. My family is also going over which I think will work to my benefit as my grandma and mom and her parents can keep each other occupied.

the real story of thanksgiving should be about self sufficiency. The American indians became dependent on the white settlers for gun powder and pellets and wisely they stopped supplying them in the middle of the war.

Parallels should be drawn to our dependence on China and the upcoming WW3
