Yeah, I was born in Lithuania and grew up there (now in NJ). Still have a lot of family there and try to visit every few years or so

Yoyogi Park is an amazing spot for day drinking. If you're going with friends bring a frisbee and have a picnic. Also the Meiji Shrine is in the park and is worth a quick look. It won't beat Kyoto shrines, but I thought it was pretty cool.

Went to the Baltic States on a trip last year. I thought Tallinn was just ok, Riga and Vilnius were both really cool. Didn't really go anywhere outside of those 3 cities in the Baltic areas. We were only there for 2 days in each city.

Old Town Backpacker's Pub and Hostel in Riga was a super fun place to stay. Hostel that turns into a popular bar at night, has different activities, fun stuff to do every night. Thought the city of Riga was awesome in general, very cool mix of an old European city with a vibrant modern downtown within walking distance of each other.

We were in Vilnius during their city wide music festival so it's possible we just got the best Vilnius had to offer, but thought the city in general was very cool, wide range of stuff to do wrt bars, touristy stuff, etc...
